We offer two summer research programs for undergraduates. The programs have different funding sources that have different aims. While the programs are very similar, there are subtle differences. For example, the National Science Foundation program may cover some travel expenses and provides a dorm room. Please read more about each opportunity by clicking on the links below.
The aim of The National Science Foundation Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program is to attract and expose undergraduates to a career in science with a special focus on interdisciplinary aging research. Visit the REU website.
The aim of the Summer Clinical Research Experiences in Aging Program funded by Barnes-Jewish Hospital Foundation is to attract and expose undergraduates to a research career in geriatric healthcare. Undergraduate students who apply for this program should have a pre-med, nursing, social work, or an allied health major. Visit the Summer Clinical Research Experiences in Aging site. |
