The purpose of this award is to recognize a non-physician who has made outstanding contributions to patient-oriented care, education, or research on aging or aging issues. Eligible nominees include non-physician faculty and staff at Washington University Medical Center (including employees of Barnes-Jewish Hospital, Washington University School of Medicine, Barnes-Jewish College of Nursing, Children’s Hospital and Central Institute for the Deaf).
Recipients receive a formal announcement of the award, a plaque, and $3,000 award money for aging-related educational endeavors including conference related fees and travel expenses, books, journal subscriptions, field or research related software/hardware, etc.
The award is supported by Barnes-Jewish Hospital Foundation from the Dorismae and Harvey A. Friedman Fund and is presented on behalf of the Harvey A. Friedman Center for Aging at the Annual Friedman Conference. |
